Welcome! Here is a list of some of my favorite Amazon purchases of late. Click around and see what’s been making life run a little smoother around here. If something here strikes your fancy, order it and Amazon will give me a tiny slice of their giant money pie…which I will use…for a podcast microphone! Because podcasting is next, for sure. My friend and future co-host and I are plugging away making plans for something awesome.
As always, thanks for showing up. You guys are truly the dream team and I am so happy to know you.
This book right here, ya’ll. It’s changing me, I swear. Read, re-read, repeat. I loved it so much , I’m hosting a book group for the next few weeks to discuss it with some friends. GET. IT.
Another winner, folks. You’ve heard of Homeboy Industries, right? This book is a sweet glimpse into the lives of former inmates making bread and learning to live free and beloved. It’s a must read, seriously.
I shared a prayer from this beautiful book last week, did you see it? Although I’m a member of a church that operates without many communal, prepared prayers like the ones you’ll find here, liturgy makes my soul feel at home. This book has really been exactly what I needed over and over again as the world has continued to spin, sometimes seemingly downhill and out of control. It’s pricey but worth it, promise.
I am all the way done with lunch boxes that get left in lockers and backpacks and under van seats. They’re disgusting and I’m DONE. No more. I’ll never buy a lunch box for another GROSS kid, so help me.
These are the bags we are using and they’re holding up great!
We seal the bags with these cute name tags so our kids don’t feel quite as neglected sitting by kids with light up lunch boxes and whatnot.
This is a really great color and totally creamy. I have two, one in my makeup drawer and one in my purse.
Full Disclosure: This is not the exact set of earrings I ordered because it’s unavailable. But they look classy as heck, right? And so cheap I don’t cry WHEN I lose them. Like I always do.
These are THE SANDALS that have actually changed my life. I had tons of hip, back and even leg pain after my fourth baby. Babies take a toll, what can I say? Spending time barefoot and wearing exclusively barefoot shoes has solved so many problems for me. 10/10, highly recommend. If you do decide to try them, plan to google some good exercises and stretches for transitioning from supportive shoes to these wonders that teach your bod to do the work itself. I didn’t do that, nor did I take the transition slowly, like I’ve heard is wise. You do you, boo.
I know, I know, I’ve told you about this before. It’s good. Very good. This is a small bottle like the one I bought on a whim a couple of months ago. I have at least half a bottle left so the price is a little less painful now.
For the Home
I love this mop. Love it. It’s just better than a Swiffer mop. The kids can use it, the pads are washable, and I can use my favorite Mrs. Meyers cleaner in it. It’s just a little more heavy duty than other mops I’ve used.
Ok, full disclosure, I haven’t received this scent yet but geranium is my all time favorite essential oil so I’m taking a little tiny risk sharing it with you. I can’t wait to sniff it! I use this concentrate for everything except mirrors and glass because that’s what God made name brand, original Windex for. It’s the only choice.
For the money, I don’t think you can beat this vacuum. It’s a dream, I promise. Ours has lasted through 6+ years of heavy use (abuse). If you are in the market and Dyson is out of your price range (like me), this is a great choice.
For the Kids
All our kids love these, 2-12. They got two sets for Christmas a few years ago and they are a steady go-to.
I’ve shared this book before but I’m linking it again. It’s that good! It’s great for moms and dads and boys, too! You will love it, I’m sure.
All right, that’s all I’ve got for ya today! If you try something and you like it, I’d love to hear about it. See you Friday with a fresh blog post that had me crying into my coffee as I typed.
